Prerequisite:         CHE 230

 

Required Text:     "Organic Chemistry," 2nd Ed., by Janice Gorzynski Smith

Lecture:                M,W,F  10:00 - 10:50 a.m.  in CP139      ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY

 

Office Hours:  M,W 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon in CP 318. 
				If you can not meet at these times or help sessions below, send an email suggesting 
				2 or 3 alternate times/dates to schedule an appointment.

NOTE: Regularly check your username@uky.edu email account throughout the semester. This is how I will send announcements, additional notes, etc. Feel free to contact me via email with questions, but in cases where my answer would be much more easily conveyed in person, I will ask you to schedule an appointment.

Help Sessions:      Monday 17:00-18:00 in CP-320.

 

Homework:            Required online homework assignments are found at the following link: ACEOrganic. Please log in ASAP and add the course "CHE 232 Watson Fall 2009" with course code: 2776 (not the same as access code). Instructions for enrollment are found here. First-time users will need to first get an access code here in order to register at the Ace login page..

NOTE: Most problems that students encounter when using Ace can be solved by the student using the helpful links on the Ace login page. Please check there first before asking me to troubleshoot.

Suggested Problems: When writing an exam, I assume that you can work all of the problems at the end of each chapter covered prior to that exam.
