ACE@Prentice–Hall access instructions
If you have already used ACE, you already have an ACE account, and
you do not need to create a new one; skip to the second set of
instructions below. If you have forgotten your account username or
password, contact Pearson technical support by email, or visit this Web site.
If you have not previously used ACE, you will first need an access
code. Visit this
page from a UK computer to get your access code. If
your name is not there, contact your instructor by email, who will get
one for you. Then:
- Go to the Pearson registration page.
- Click on "Copy and paste it here".
- Type or paste your access code in the box provided.
- Enter 40506 for your zip code, and choose United
States from the pulldown menu.
- Press Next.
- If the registration system
tells you that your access code has already been used, send your
instructor an email to request a new one.
- Enter your name and email address.
- Choose UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY from the pulldown menu.
- Choose a username and password.
- Choose a security question, and enter the answer. This question
and answer will be used if you forget your password.
- Press Next. Your registration should now be confirmed.
You will receive an email containing the information you just entered.
You are now ready to begin to use ACE Organic.
- Go to the ACE login page.
- Enter your username and password, and press the return or enter
key or the Login button.
- If
ACE won't let you log in, and your password contains any upper-case
characters, try entering the password again, but all in lower case.
- If the appropriate course name does not appear:
- Press the Add icon next to Enroll.
- Enter the course code provided by your instructor.
- For Cammers' CHE 230-001 in Fall 2007, enter 1736.
- Press Enroll.
- If you are using Safari, you may need to press the button
twice.
Otherwise, just click on the name of the course to enter it.
You'll now arrive at the Course Home Page. You'll see three tabs and
three buttons, which are available on every page.
- Course Home brings you to the present page.
- Assignments brings you to a list of assignments from which
you can choose one to work.
- Grades lets you look at your grades.
- My Courses returns you to the list of courses in which you
are enrolled.
- Help opens the user manual (in a new window).
- Logout logs you out of ACE Organic.
The first assignment will be a tutorial to teach you how to use
MarvinSketch, the tool you will use to draw chemical structures. Enjoy!
