Back to Back Meetings - See Below

SAACS is holding a meeting on Wednesday, April 16th at 11 AM. Dr. Atwood is giving a talk about his research and Green Chemistry. Pizza will be served and we'll be meeting in the conference room, room 137 in the ChemPhys building.

The next meeting is on the following day, Thursday, April 17th at 5 PM. Dr. Daunert is giving a talk about the research that she does here at UK. This is something you don't want to miss. We'll be meeting in the conference room, CP-137.

SAACS Officer Elections are coming up, so if you are interested in becoming an officer, are a highly motivated individual, and want to get more involved in UK SAACS, then this is a great opportunity! As of now, there are four officer positions open for next year: president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. We are discussing adding another officer position, so we will let you know at the upcoming meetings. If you are interested, contact one of the officers and come to the next meeting.

Volunteers are needed at the Explorium for the first week of April. SAACS aids in science experiment demonstrations for children. There are two times available : 10:30 - 12:00, and 1:00 - 3:00. This is a great way to get involved with UK SAACS and the Lexington community. If interested, please contact one of the officers.

T-Shirts are still available through SAACS! The shirts are only $15. If interested, come to our next meeting or talk to one of the officers.

Model Kits for organic chemistry are still available. If interested, please talk to one of our officers or stop by our office.

If you know of any chemists who are willing to speak about their work at a SAACS meeting, let us know. We are particularly interested in hearing those working in a non-academic setting. Similarly, if you know of a lab we could tour, let us know.
