Roll your mouse over the picture for a closer view. The main picture shows the kappaCCD diffractometer. The detector and goniometer are inside the blue-tinted radiation enclosure. To the left of the enclosure is the display of the control computer (now replaced by a flat LCD screen), and beneath it is a small water-to-water heat exchanger. The rollover picture is a close up of the goniometer. The detector is on the left, the X-ray source is on the right, a video camera comes in at about 2 o'clock and the delivery tube and nozzle of the low-temperature device point downwards from the top. A crystal sits dead centre, mounted on the kappa goniometer. |
