Roll your mouse over the picture for a closer view. The main picture shows the X8 Proteum diffractometer. The detector, goniometer, x-ray source and low-temperature machine are all inside the blue-tinted radiation enclosure. In the left side of the enclosure is the display of the control computer, and to the right is the control panel of the LT machine. The rollover picture is a close up of the goniometer. The detector is on the left, the X-ray source is on the right and a crystal sits near the centre of the picture, mounted on the kappa goniometer. A video camera comes in at about 2 o'clock and the delivery tube and nozzle of the low-temperature device point downwards onto the crystal. |
